Dr. Morgan

Dr. Morgan graduated from Mt. Zion High School in 2000 and was very active in the local FFA chapter, serving as chapter president for three of four years.

As a teen, she volunteered at the Scovill Zoo and was later employed as a keeper while attending college.

After graduating from Mt. Zion, she was accepted to the University of Illinois and studied animal science. During her sophomore year at the U of I, she was accepted to the University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in the spring of 2006.

Upon graduation, she accepted a position at Crestline Vet Clinic, a mixed animal practice in Charleston, Illinois. While there she mainly saw small animals, but had the opportunity to work with lizards, fish, rabbits, goats, cattle, and horses. Later that year Dr. Morgan moved to Johns Island, South Carolina with her husband, Mitch, and son, Henry, and served as a relief veterinarian for the Greater Charleston area.

Dr. MorganIn 2007 the Morgan’s welcomed the birth of their daughter Merle Ann.

In 2008, the Morgan family said good-bye to the warm, sunny beaches of South Carolina and moved back home to Illinois. After a couple months of relief work in the Decatur area, they purchased the clinic, formerly known as Wildwood Pet Clinic, from Dr. Bruce Williams.

The Morgan family enjoys spending time with their pets: Penny, Dempsey, Boomer, Chief, and many fish in their salt water aquarium.
